First...
Emmett started swimming lessons. He LOVES them. He splashes around and is even eager to kick when he's on his tummy or his back. He's not so fond of being dunked under the water yet, but I suppose that will come with time. It's been really nice for he and I to have an excuse to get out of the house twice a week.
Second...
We went to the aerospace museum on Hill Air Force Base. Emmett thought the planes were pretty cool, and even got to sit in a pilot's chair and fly a jet, while his cousins flew the little private plane next to him.
Third...
We went to the zoo, and had a blast! It was Emmett's first time, and he was fascinated with the animals, especially the elephants. Of course, how could the elephants escape his notice? He got to ride the merry-go-round twice, and he loved the train. Josh and I had fun as well, of course, and we can't wait to go back in June when the new polar bear/seal/sea lion exhibit opens.
Fourth...
We went to the park, and for once Emmett stayed awake. We love walking along the river and watching all of the ducks, geese, and swans...and don't forget the seagulls, since there are about a billion of them there. Emmett was a brave big boy and went down the slide all by himself (with dad there to catch him, of course).
Fifth...
Emmett turned 9 months. He also had his helmet check. As far as we know, six weeks down, six to go! It's actually work out pretty well. His head is noticeably rounder already.
Sixth...
Emmett learned how to crawl.
And climb up on things...
He also got two teeth. And all of that makes for one tired mama!
Looks like so much fun! I love that E has swim class! How fun! Jeff would get a laugh at that last picture, Rudy is one of his all time favorite movies!
