Happy Valentine's Day!

It was for us! Josh was a busy man today. He cleaned the living room and the kitchen, and set up this beautiful romantic table for two in the living room!
When I got home he banished me upstairs while he finished cooking dinner. I wasn't allowed to know the menu until it was finished!

Main Course: Homemade chicken cordon bleu, baked potatoes, and apple slices with milk (my favorite drink these days!) served in wine glasses.

Dessert: Chocolate covered strawberries.

He's such a good cook! Here's a picture:
There were candles all around the living room, and of course, Valentine's Day roses for me!
I'm so thankful to have such a wonderful sweet husband! He spoils me rotten. I think I'll keep him!

  1. Aren't you a lucky girl! Well played Josh! The table looks beautiful and the food delicious! I am curious about this milk and apples drink, I have never heard of such a thing! Is it a pregnancy thing? OK the cake bites could not have been more simple, or delicious! Bake an entire cake mix in a pan, let is cool, then chop it up, like into crumbs. Ina bowl mix it with an entire container of store bought forsting. It will take a bit of stirring, but will eventually form kind of a ball. Then take an ice cream scoop and form little balls, you can also roll them in your hand, which I ended up doing so they would be the perfect size. Let them set for a bit. Then melt some chocolate, cholocate chips or white will work, and drizzle over the cake bites. I had them on a colling racj with a paper towel beneath to catch the drips. then them set then enjoy. You really can use any flavor combo of cake and frosting. Enjoy!

  2. Sounds great! Thanks for the instructions! I guess I did word the apples thing a bit oddly. LOL. The drink was just milk. We had apple slices as a fruit on the side.
